How do you figure out what story you are telling when shooting? And how does it help you to make decisions in terms of composition, framing, exposure etc. How does DASO answer the questions "why am I taking this shot? What is it’s purpose and what am I trying to convey?’
In essence: is photography purely a way to keep a record of a moment, or are you trying to capture the emotion of a moment?
Great question Brandon. I love when I'm forced to dig deep and really asses my true reasonings for shooting a certain way, composition, including and excluding elements and the emotion that I'm trying to withdraw from th viewer.
