Rustin and Stephanie - Lodi, CA Couples Photography Session

I've had the pleasure of knowing Rustin for many years, since my early twenties.  In fact I met Rustin on my very first trip to CA.  He's a really good friend of my brother in law and my wife's family in general.  He and his beautiful wife, Stephanie, asked me to make their photographs and suggested the Oak Farm Vineyards and I of course, said yes.  Oak Farm is like a playground for photographers.  Several different locations and beautiful light everywhere.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Aren't they beautiful!

If you're interested in shooting with me, please shoot me an email David@dasophoto.com or call me 702.569.9074.

San Joaquin Lifestyles - December Issue

Well, it's my first photo to make the cover of the magazine!

I'm pretty excited about it, despite the fact that its just a Christmas scene.  I shot 4 or 5 stories in the magazine so please flip through and check out the photography.  I think its pretty good.  Oh and Scout and Lincoln make a little cameo too.  Thanks for looking.

Reno, NV Sign Time Lapse Photography - The Biggest Little City in the World

Last week I spent a few days in Reno on a shoot and had some time to make a couple of time lapse's.  Here's one showing shadows creep across the sign while climbers go up and down the tallest rock wall in the world.  The latter just being a bonus.  Thanks for looking.

Stockton, CA's Bankruptcy Explanation Videos

I can't take credit for all the video work, some of it is stock footage and some of it was just shot by someone else.  But I can take credit for all the interview footage and a good amount of the monopoly shots.  Its my first real video work and I think its a decent jump into the game.  All the editing was done by my good friends at 3AM Communications.  I've had the great pleasure of working with them on several projects, they produce beautiful work.  So without further ado, my first video work:

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Part 4:

It may seem lengthy but I think the total video time on all 4 is about 20 minutes.  Not only that, its informative and honestly the footage is historic.  Stockton, CA is the largest city in history to file for bankruptcy and it was an honor to be asked to work on it.  Enjoy.

$3.6 Million Photo

I thought this was an interesting write up on www.PetaPixel.com.  One of Jeff Wall's photographs just sold at auction for 3.6 million.  I have one of his books and was able to get a much closer look at this photograph.  It really is amazing and apparently shot in studio.  Not sure how you make that happen but I would have liked to been there.
