After church this morning we stopped by Pholicious on the way home, waited forever, but finally got some of the best pho in Stockton, CA, to go. Come on we had two toddlers and a five year old...do I really want to deal with that in a restaurant? Nope. After we finished lunch we headed outside to a beautiful day, with incredible light.
As soon as we went out the door the kids headed for the new play set.
That's Max, he's 3 days older than Lincoln and about 3 times larger. He's on top of the play set because he can be. Lincoln's holding down the fort from the bottom, literally. Just a side note, Max is the nicest kid on the planet.
Max had no problem climbing the play set, he took three steps at a time. You can do that as a giant:
Scout somehow managed to swing directly into something on the play set, face first of course. I like the single tear in the left photograph. Pretty messed up that I like the tears on my daughters face (don't judge me).
Scout was pretty much done with the swings at that point so she moved on to crafting with lessons by here Auntie Brittony. Don't trust anything she shows you Scout...never trust anyone in a white vest.
Now there's someone you can trust. That's Jenny, she's Max's mom. She's not a giant and she won't teach you shady crafting techniques.
After craft time the adults moved on to some coffee. There's nothing like a hot cup of coffee outside on a cold day. It really hit the spot. That's my beautiful better half, isn't she lovely?
There's that smile I was talking about. If you like this smile too, you can see more of it at Starbucks Coffee at the Lincoln Center in Stockton. Just tell her David sent you and leave a tip on my behalf.
Eventually the boys got tired of destroying the fort and moved on to destroying the lawn on some trikes. They look so tough here. Shortly after this both of them were in tears crying for there mama's. Not so tough anymore are you!
Lincoln kept sneaking cookies, refused to nap and as I write this at 6:45 PM he shows no signs of slowing down. Look at that little face though, so happy to have one more Oreo.
Maybe next Sunday some of you can join us outside for Sunday coffee, until then take care.
